Why, yes; yes, I believe it does. In the long run, at least.
Shane, when you play BattleMaster, you are "forced" to roleplay as a
noble of the period. Not as a pirate. Not as a brigand. Not as an
undead fairy dragon.
You can't just decide to be whatever you want, and expect the world
(in other words, the game) to support it.
The Barony of Makar has some darn good RP going as Vikings, it's
true. But they are not, and should not be, looked upon as honourable
by the world at large. If you want to roleplay as someone who is not
considered as honourable by the world at large, you have to be
willing to accept the consequences.
It's not like, overnight, everyone in the Barony is going to lose 2/3
of their honour and become unable to command a unit of more than 10
men. In fact, given that someone *IN THE REALM* (or otherwise
receiving their messages) has to report a message for vulgarity
before it can be judged, they probably won't lose more than a couple
of points per character per YEAR.
But yes, they will be losing honour.
Deal. It's not your game.
