[Discuss] Duels.

I know Tom has said in the past he does not want people to be forced to
duel.

Too many people in the game, however, talk to their superiors (and I've
had characters who have done this as well) as little more then trash.
If someone higher position then you challenged you to a duel, you would
be a fool not to accept (unless they were clearly mad, if they had a
legitimate reason it would be a huge offense to decline). People do not
seem to grasp that in game.

Here is what I propose. It will be sort of like vulgarity option, but
only go to people in your realm (as it would be impossible for someone
outside of the realm to know if there was a true offense). When someone
declines a duel random people from the realm will be questioned asking
was noble A offended by noble B. If the answer is yes, noble B would be
given the choice of dueling the person or suffering an honour/prestige
loss, which is bigger depending on if noble A is higher rank then noble
B and if noble B has a history of doing this.

There are of course alternatives to dueling the person, you can move to
a different region, so you are both not in the same place for the duel,
this was actually common or take the h/p loss. So it is not forcing you
to duel the person, but it is forcing you to act according to the role
of a noble.
