I can't imagine that the colonies are interesting, and I think a lot of 
people who have their chars deported there would agree, but does that 
mean it should be destroyed because some people find it boring?

Make the effort to change it, or shut up. And no, posts to the D-list 
essentially saying "EC sucks and should be nuked" does not count as 
trying to improve it.
