I *could* run a rebellion, but that is exceptionally messy, expensive 
and damaging to the realm I would take control of.

Also, whether or not, I, the current ruler or anyone else wins the 
election is *irrelevant*, as is the amount of support each person has, 
because I already know that bit, and have it sorted. Getting to the 
election stage in the first place is the part that matters, and anything 
else is detracting from the original point..

If you want to instruct people on how to win the election, write it 
somewhere like

. Otherwise, you're just detracting from the original point, which as 
Tim says (in a far more eloquent manner than myself), is that it is 
*far* too difficult to force a ruler election.
