I wouldn't call her a liar. But I would ask some questions, such as how 
many cases she's speaking about here? 2, 3 or 20, 30? And how were the 
sides? If they were outnumbered  2:1 the interesting question isn't 
whether they won, but how much damage they caused.

If nobody else uses them, it means one of two things:

a) they really suck
b) you have a tremendous advantage because everyone else thinks a) and 
won't be prepared for you using them
