I'll have to side with psymann on this one (most of them, actually).
I don't think that he is taking this age thing *way* too seriously.
He's trying to get a grasp of the framework to be a better RPer,
therefore, adding to the game's enjoyment.  If I learn from this
thread, then I'll be able to add to it as well.

One of my characters RPed giving a birthday gift to his love interest.
 A saddle for her mare.  Well, by the time she got back to the city,
the horse was brought in from the other direction, fittings, etc.,
another 'year' had passed.  Time for another birthday.  This time, no
gift, but a party celebrating her 20th birthday at his estate.  It was
good RP.  The saddle gift was private RP, which spawned off other
minor RPs that went public.  The party was a very public RP, with some
of the realm-mates (and non-realm-mates as well) adding to the story.
Birthday's aren't going to be RPed as much any more (sorry, llya), but
they will still be celebrated.
