I dislike any attitude that says "If you don't like the game as it is,
find something else to play", as that does not promote game growth and

Again, I disagree with this - I have 2 "simple" knights these days (OK,
so both of them know enough of the right people in high places, but they
have no positions), and think that there is no harm in suggesting new
options. What's the worst that can happen, new characters spend a month
playing around wity all this stuff they can do and talking to people
about it as opposed to staring blankly at the game, only seeing the
option to obey/disobey option, and leaving?

Or, the option which I think is more likely, we continue losing newbies
who log in, look at BM and pass it off as a boring game with next to
nothing to do.
Gloria, you, James, Rick, even I have all been playing the game and had
some power at some point in varying amounts, and so probably all know
what we did "right" conventionally to /stop/ being simple knights. You
can't just say psymann must be doing something wrong.
