WHAT?!?!

No.  *Very* no.

You're thinking of a later absolute monarchy again.  Think earlier,  
when the King is, to most, a distant figure, who, if you're very  
lucky, you might meet once in your lifetime, and the one you actually  
take orders from is your Duke...and even that's only if you live  
close enough to the Ducal seat.

The King has only the power that his nobles give him.  He is *NOT*  
the Supreme Ruler of All Things.
