No; and I wouldn't advocate that. I still maintain that most
respectable nobles of the period would *not* have arrested and beaten
up peasants without any reason. That's called sadism.
If a peasant looked at them funny, or they heard from their cousin
that his brother's wife's great-aunt had hear about a peasant who had
been observed speaking out about rebellion, then sure. Arrest the
lout, beat him to a pulp, lop off his head. He's just a peasant.
But not *without a reason*.
