Nope. In fact, I find it most rewarding to have characters in different realms.

No, they don't. You can, however, only have two characters per island. So if you
create a third, you will be forced to choose a different island.

Also, Beluaterra can only be reached by immigration. You cannot start a new
character directly on the island.

There are various game mechiancs to limit the ability of the two characters to
directly aid each other, such as not being able to transfer bonds between the
two, etc.

No, they do not have to interact with each other.

No, you do not have to avoid each other.

Using a family member to spy on another realm is generally considered a bad
thing.

You need to be able to separate your characters. i.e. Keep the information
compartmentalized. Many people (in both realms) will react with hostility if you
freely share info between the realms. Yes, some people RP that their characters
are spies, etc., but I think it's just poor sportsmanship to do it that way.

(Also, if you just copy stuff from one character and paste it to the other realm,
it could be considered OOC spying, which is very bad. If you're going to have
two characters spy like that, then you should at least go through the trouble of
actually establishing contact and sending the info via in-game message. )

No. When your family gold is as low as it is when you start, it recovers on its
own fairly quickly. It would only be an issue if you rapidly started and deleted
many characters. I'm not sure if you could even do it fast enough to cause a
problem like that.
