[Discuss] Advice required on creating additional characters

Hello all,

I'm new to the game, and have created one character.  I'd like to create a 
second (I understand I'm allowed three - or four under special 
circumstances).

What I don't understand is whether there are any rules regarding this, for 
example:

o Do my characters have to be in the same realm?  They are after all in the 
same family.
o Do my characters have to be in different realms - or even different 
worlds?  Otherwise is there not scope for dodgy 
helping-one-character-with-the-other behaviour?
o Do my characters have to interact with each other?  They are presumably 
brothers, cousins or something, and most brothers would communicate.
o If they have to be in different areas, do my characters have to avoid 
contact?  Otherwise there is scope for one realm knowing what another is 
doing just because they both have members of the same family.

And will my family have a problem funding two or three characters starting 
in quick succession?


On a side note (and with these old-fashioned newsgroups you can actually 
have side notes done properly - joy!) if anyone can explain how my family 
gain money, that would be of interest - is it something to do with the 
"visit your family" action?
