  Again, it's a matter of forms- your character may follow the beliefs
of the local peasants, but weould still ned the cover of a major
religion to not be seen as sinking below their station and,
essentially, consorting with the rabble. It's one thing to belong to a
different noble religion and quite another to have gone native and ;et
the commoners tell you what to believe instead of the other way
around.
