You raise some good points indeed and what you say is true. I think there's
a difference however in what you point out and what Tom was angry about. In
your cases there's is a feature of the game a person is not sure about (ie:
you) and you are curious. Someone else will answer as best they can because
that's what happens when people are asked questions and they want to help
you out. What they say could be completely wrong, but either way it's their
best shot.
However this
person who Tom is specifically angry about was asked and the reason he
came up with was that Tom liked or disliked something and that he
would personally punish a realm that dared to do the deed. In my
wildest dreams I wouldn't invent such a reason, since it is directly
insulting to Tom and doesn't make any sense. I mean think about the
differences, "Do archers work better in lines? I do/don't
think so, because I saw it last fight/read the flight of a bird/stayed
at a holiday inn express last night" compaired to "Why don't we take
Skezard? Because then Tom will hate us and kill us all."
And of course there is one other point, Tom has to listen to every complaint
and doesn't even get to play his own game (under his name) Now me, that'd
make me a bit angry when people say "Don't do that or Anthony will kill us!"
when they have nothing indicating it's true.
