It also means that if the leadership insists on continuing to the end, while
everyone else might approve initially, when it winds down to the end
suddenly everyone realises that they shouldn't have accepted any of those
offered lordships or available council positions because they'll hang. It
shouldn't take too long for people to realise that continuing means that if
you have a position you die, and decide that life and a smaller realm isn't
such a bad idea at all. That, or those that insist on continuing will find
themselves with many regions with no lords because no one wants to be on
that sinking ship, perhaps even to the point of a rebellion.
