Ok, here's what I have in mind:
A new voting page where you have X votes that you can distribute among
the candidates. X can be fairly large, usually 5 but in some realms a
powerful duke might have 50 or so. But that'll be a rare exception. I
_might_ set a limit of votes-per-candidate, but I'm not sure, yet.
Which means a slider control or something like that.
Now here's where Javascript comes in: Check the total number of votes
distributed and don't allow more than he has. I'll of course check again
in the backend, but a lot of people will distribute more than they have
if the frontend doesn't check.
Mockup:
Some One ***
Someone Else *********
Third Candidate ******
Whoever *
Nobody
Nobody Either
Thats how I envision it. Like the controls of iTunes - 1-5 stars, but if
you click on 4, it'll add the others. So in order to add the 3 starts to
"Some One", the user only needs to click once, on the 3rd star.
