Part of the game being the battle part, correct? I think a more
precise way to state yourself would be "I think this part of the game
is fun (list of reasons why)" to indicate it is an opinion, not an
absolute. I myself prefer peace time in BM. Then again, I'm not a
very normalperson.

Again, ought to be stated as opinion.

"Made-up in-character". Eh? No, I assure you, I'm not IC right now...
if I were IC as Hireshmont, you'd be recieving a barrage of ad
hominems. Amekal would preach at you, Onliana would remain haughtily
above the arguement, and Sfara wouldn't be able to put together a
grammatically correct sentence. Also, isn't everything IC made-up?
"Pseudo-historical nonsense".... heh. Yeah, Robin Hood is psuedo-
historical, probably even ahistorical. But he represents a mindset of
the people. Not only this, but medieval banditry was a common theme.
PEasant revolts did happen. The reason they never become realm-
shaking affairs is lack of central ideology and lack of good
organization.
I suppose my apparently futile attempt at rational rebuttals of your
suggestion has failed. Thus, I resort to the polarization technique
where I simply put forth a directly opposed proposal based just as
much upon mere personal opinion as your own.
Region upkeep and peacetime in BM is fun because it is a time of
manuevering and politics, reflects a definite reality, and because
ensuring the survival of a realm from the inside is the most fun part
of the game.
Wars and battle are the least fun because battles take place all at
once, without directly involving the player, and it's just long dull
strings of text. saying "So and so did 369 damage".
(Naturally I'm exagerating quite a bit)
