I am sick of hearing in game, on the d-list, everywhere I look, about
cheating on east continent, involving both sides. I really do not
freaking care. There is a reason that I don't have characters there. I
am sick of having to hear 18 times a day about it. Simple solution:
Take it to the Titans. If they don't agree with you, then you obviously
need to relax, email Tom and if he doesn't agree with you then just
relax, go out to a pub, I don't even care if you blog about it (I don't
read your blog so I won't have to hear about it at least). I do not
always agree with them, but they do what they do for a reason, they can
check sent messages in the realm, etc. The number one way of not
getting anything to happen is to continue to bitch and complain about it
on the dlist (it is documented that this is the best way to get any
complaint ignored, even if you're right). I honestly wish I could be
Tom, just for a single day, I would just destroy the entire island and
not have to worry about it again. If people can't play nice there, then
I think this needs to happen. I know I could simply ignore the
messages, but every time I turn around someone else starts a new thread
about something that happened there, I keep hoping and praying that it
is not whining, but I am sadly let down every time.

So again, my suggestion:
Take it to the titans.
If you don't agree with them, take it to Tom.
If you don't agree with him, leave the game, because it's his game and
not yours, his rules not yours.

What not to do:
Take it to the discussion list, where the people can't do anything and
you just sound like a whiner.
Take it to another realm on another island, where the above is, again, true.

It does not seem like a hard concept to me. I've felt jipped in this
game many many times. I have never brought it to the list, named names
and accused people of things. That's in 4 years. That hardly means
I've agreed with what every player, every titan and Tom has
thought/said/done. But I realized I cannot change the system and it was
nothing worth leaving the game over. This whole situation, from an
outsider, appears to me as my diplomacy sucks/my realm sucks/my rulers
suck/my general sucks (take your pick which one it is) so I'm going to
find anything I can do to blame someone else instead of actually doing
anything. I have never heard that friendly successions will get you
lightning bolted (in fact Titans can't lightning bolt), the only thing
I've ever heard is strategic successions would do that. From what I've
read it wasn't a strategic succession. If you thought it was you should
have brought it to the titans. If you don't have enough evidence, such
as "I'm in another realm and it looked bad" I would agree that it should
be ignored. You aren't in their realm, you don't know what happened.
Take for example when I Can't Believe It's Not Butter succeded from
Cagilan Empire, within an hour people were already on the dlist saying
that it was planned, people should be lightning bolted, etc etc etc. I
was the ruler of CE at the time I would have been extremely pissed if
the titans (or Tom) had lightning bolted me just based on what it
appeared without any factual evidence to support it. If that happened
to your character you would be pissed too. We are all players here and
this is just a game, if your life hinges on every decision that is made
in game you need to get out and get more hobbies. Complaining to
hundreds ( don't know the actual numbers that read the list, going on
what Tom has said) of people who do not care is not going to get you
anywhere, but pissing people off who have to read it. There are ways in
game to solve what you want. And I believe nothing is done simply
because you continue to complain to the wrong outlets and again,
ignoring the documentation that says this will get it ignored.
