Gaius Julius Caesar Augustus Germanicus (August 31, 12 -
January 24, 41), more commonly known by his nickname
Caligula, was a Roman Emperor who reigned from 16 March 37
until his assassination on 24 January 41. Caligula was the third
emperor of the Roman Empire, and a member of the Julio-
Claudian dynasty which descended from Augustus.
I figure just about everyone knows the name Caligula, and at
least has some inkling about the controversies surrounding his
rule of the Roman empire. (If not, take a quick browse through the
Wikipedia page for Caligula. It's a pretty interesting illustration of
the kind of power wielded by a Roman Emperor...)
So is Caligula an appropriate name for the "serious medieval
atmosphere world"? This could be an important precedent for
guidelines about character names on Dwilight.
