office if i was inciting or supporting a war we might not win.. or that
wasn't of the most dire circumstances. If an infil from my realm attacked a
Noble of a neutral realm, or something of that sort, some realms would go to
war after a period of this happening regularly. Now if the realm that was
picking on them was larger and stronger, there'd be no war. People are
backing off because they won't win.
On BT, the undead invasion is bringing some interesting battles, but people
are just afraid to go to war, it seems..
Let more people take advantage of loopholes and other stuff, and we'll have
plently of wars.. but plenty of pissed off players as well. **Smirks
devilishly**
Somethings got to happen soon.. we're just at this crazy standstill right
now.

It's been done...I don't think it would help much. There was a brief<br>flurry of activity that has now settled down into a near-total peace<br>on the whole continent.<br><br>No, if we want to create more war, we need to remove the biggest
<br>danger of it: that declaring war on Realm A will result in Realms B,<br>C, D, E and F all jumping in to pound your realm into powder.<br><br>There have been various suggestions for that in recent times, which<br>you can check the archives for and I can't think of offhand.
<br>However, many of them failed to take into account that this is not a<br>problem of code so much as it is a problem of attitude--specifically,<br>that everyone wants their realm to be on the "winning" side of
<br>everything, and so gangs up into large alliances. It may be that<br>with some changes in code we can adjust this attitude, or it may be<br>that we need to start education/propaganda campaigns to shift people<br>away from it (or both).
<br><br>However, it is *not* an easy problem to solve.</blockquote><div><br><br>The point on attitude is a great one. No one ever wants to be on the losing side anymore. When Avamar was around, we had some crazy wars on EC, and when Perdan was constantly fighting, the game was just plain more entertaining. It's called "Battlemaster" for a reason.. and that spirit seems to be lost.
<br>From my point of view, my realm on EC would scream and protest me out of office if i was inciting or supporting a war we might not win.. or that wasn't of the most dire circumstances. If an infil from my realm attacked a Noble of a neutral realm, or something of that sort, some realms would go to war after a period of this happening regularly.
