How about a feature where an Adventurer could buy a title of Nobility?
Rich merchant family with no Nobility titles gets the titles from a
destitute Noble family, etc on the IC roleplay.

As we saw with the 'I-can't-believe-it's-not-butter'
realm buying a title to the region, how about the same thing but on a
much smaller scale for promoting an Adventurer to Noble.  Fake documents
to get into Jousting Tournies which makes other Nobles think you may be
one.  Etc.

I like this idea but I think that would end run the recommendations and
probably not go over to well.  However, adventurers are more likely to
be running in the circles of people willing to do such things.  Besides
I'd love to have something to spend my adventures gold on besides
watching it get taxed away from him.  Poor guy has lost 43 gold in taxes
now...
