[Discuss] More protection for rogues

Like many in the game, I am becoming increasingly
frustrated with the lack of exciting spots to play. It
seems everywhere I go, a small group of leaders is
intent on peace for everyone, has banned looting,
destroying temples, etc. I'm on the war island, where
we've just won several major battles, and yet we would
have won them they same way if no one had logged in
for a week. I thought that this was a role-playing war
game, but it's turning into a role-playing only game,
and very limited at that.
For most people, turning to the priest game or
becoming infiltrators is the only way to get some
independence, but even that doesn't solve the
problems. You are still under the control of your
leader and his diplomatic policies, which can make
your position worthless.
I would like to see rogues be given these things:
1) more protection against execution; they must be
captured, banned, then deported or executed like
others
2) ability to change class, at least to Hero, so that
they can recruit volunteers from ANYWHERE. Sort of a
Robin Hood who attracts the down-trodden to himself.
3) ability to send messages in the same way
adventurers do.
basically, if a player is tired of living under a
leader, he can have the option of going "independent".
It will be a difficult life; he'll need to loot to pay
his men, and recruitment will be slow. A king might
use his men as privateers to wage unofficial war. It's
even possible they might take over a region or two at
some point, but unlikely that they could ever really
start their own kingdom.
