Yes.  Exactly the point.  It does the same thing, but the difference is 
you only have to subscribe to one thing - in fact, depending on your 
mood, you can just access the unmoderated one when you want to.  Oh, and 
another difference is that you don't have to wait for moderation.  In 
other words, the forum can't be much worse than the D-list if it does 
the same thing, but might actually perform the split better.
