True, they knew the most recent link. Then again, they didn't always  
really know that person. They knew a name, I suppose, which could  
definitely be a major psychological factor.

I haven't been paying close attention to this discussion... but I  
would love to see some kind of anonymous messaging. Most  
specifically, anonymous personal messaging. That would be lots of  
fun, and give a use for excess gold that builds up during peacetime.
