You can get caught if you try to buy a title, and it ain't exactly cheap, 
probably looking at least 400 gold to destroy buildings in a rural region - 
and in most cases, where's the point in that? Moreover, you're likely to 
lose far less by someone doing that than what was lost to the infil this 
topic was about, and the infil can keep doing it.

Anyway, leaving a title open to be bought by having no lord appointed is 
something you can easily prevent. Can't do something that simple to guard 
against godlike infils, though.
