My apologies: that remark was not directed specifically at you, it  
was meant as a more general admonition.

And to address your point about the straying of this thread, people  
will *always* have differences of opinions.  The only ways to address  
it are, in the end, to argue or, if neither side will be convinced,  
to agree to disagree.
