That is *EXACTLY* the problem.
Anyone who can't bring themselves to post private conversations or
their characters' private thoughts doesn't understand the rules of RP
enough to realize that anyone who tries to use that against them can,
at least by the rules of FEI, be found guilty of OOC cheating. That
would lead me to suspect that they, themselves, would be just as
willing to use such postings.
YES, BattleMaster is a GAME. A game we are supposed to be playing
with FRIENDS. I view the FEI as one huge collective novel, that
we're all *supposed* to be contributing to. But if you keep all your
RP to yourself, you're not contributing, you're just leaching, and,
to some degree, powergaming.
And finally, if your plans can't survive the other players finding
out about them OOC, they're probably not very good plans to begin
with. You need to make sure you have not *one* path that leads to
victory, but *all* paths in order to have a winning strategy.
