Well, you may well have joined one of the realms that had already  
been taken over by people who aren't interested in real RP.  Or, you  
might have just come at a bad time, or something.

In general, if you want someone to RP with you, just RP your  
character walking up to theirs, or throwing mud in their face, or  
something ;-)  If that doesn't get a response, *then* you can be sure  
that they're ignoring you.  Otherwise, they might just be busy...Gods  
know I've certainly been too busy to greet new realm-mates plenty of  
times.
