Not at all. The influx code came about maybe a year and a half ago. I
believe the timeframe Justin was speaking of, code had only recently been
changed from allowing the rulers to close the borders of the realm. It was
getting abused, as nearly everyone felt their realm was overcrowded. So
when it was removed, people started putting "we don't want you" types of
messages in the realm bulletin.

It's funny to me that people 3-4 years ago thought 60 people in a realm was
overcrowded. They managed to get by just fine, we're looking at over 100 in
certain realms now. And you know what? I bet we'll still be just fine.

I can't remember when or where it was said, but I'm almost certain Tom
mentioned at one point that the gold produced in a realm is somewhat
proportional to the number of people in the realm. That is, new people
arrive, and the gold income slowly goes up slightly to compensate. And now
the duchal system is beginning to fall into place, which will essentially
create mini realms.

Let things run their course before always immediately calling for a new
island, people.
