True. Ask one of Harold Finehair's nobles how they inalienable rights
worked out for them. If they were told to do X and they did Y, they'd
come home find their children dead, their wife raped, and their lands
given to the smaller less powerful (but more loyal) noble next door.
"But King, you are violating my RIGHT TO NOT FOLLOW ORDERS!" ...
probably wouldn't have worked out too well as a defense when the king's
army kicked their asses out. Who do you think settled Iceland, anyhow?
