Well, if he didn't abuse the mechanics in getting there, then perhaps you
should've been more careful in the first place.  There are maniacal leaders
out there even today who would rather see their country crumble than give up
power.  I guess it's just a lesson for all of us to protect yourselves.

Perhaps it doesn't deserve to 'live' then.  People are not entitled to see
their realm survive.  Especially if it is because they didn't take adequate
measure to protect themselves.

Not if you give him the maximum fine, each and every day he refuses to step
down.  Even if they do get some gold, it's more golds for you to fund a
rebellion.  Set the region share to as low as you can.  There are a myriad
of ways to get around it.
