[Discuss] (un)fair play

I thought that the Marshal settings was important because they give a standard format to the army. Otherwise if there is even one unit in the wrong position then it can delay the advance of all the others. Am I wrong?
   
  But anyway, if the Marshals and their settings are almost useless I dont understand why they are still in the game. Especially if they have so many bugs that make players complain.
   
  Just remove the Marshals and the problem is solved without any influence to the game
