I'm not quite as happy about being SHOUTED AT, over something that HAS
NOT PREVIOUSLY BEEN EXPLAINED CLEARLY, in the game or out.

Here is my taxes page (I am a Duke):
Status Quo
(estimates, assuming weekly tax collection)
tax income	11 %	552 gold
militia cost		227 gold	details
maintainance cost		28 gold	details
net taxes		297 gold
to knights	5 %	14 gold
to realm	5 %	14 gold
your share	90 %	269 gold

There is no mention of GOLD FROM THE DUCHY!

Now that I know how the math works, I have made a speadsheet that
shows me the correct values, so I can figure out what oaths are
ACTUALLY worth before I offer them, because the VALUES IN THE GAME ARE
WRONG.

This is the reason that I was confused, Tom, not because I'm an idiot.
