Tournament estimates are likewise estimates and not any more accurate
than the tutors.
Besides - tournaments only allow you to get estimates on swordfighting
and jousting, not on leadership, infiltration, beaurocracy, trading and
preaching.

The game handles skills on a % basis. So your skill can be 12%, but the
estimates will be 10% or 15%. Academy training _can_ increase your skill
by more than one point, just like any other training. If you spent many
hours, it's more likely that you get more than one point of increase.
But it is very, very unlikely that you'd get+5% in one training session,
even if you train the max hours with an expert tutor.
