The delay idea would actually work if we were in fact our characters and
really lived in the BM world and letters would normally take time to
arrive. But we are players with a real life.
Our characters probably *do* send orders at the beginning of the turn.
It is only us
as players
who log in
for a few minutes
at whatever time we can
to do what our characters would do in 12 hours.
Perhaps we could play that our character wrote that message, say, 4 hours
before we actually log in (a time in which, in real life, we would be
asleep, at work, or doing something else, but our character is still alive
doing something in the BM world) then the message have been delayed for 4
hours, meaning it arrived at the time it was actually written by the player,
but 4 hours after the character actually wrote it.
