It might be possible for one person to do it, but is it possible for the up
to 200 people in the realms that that person may rule with different
characters not to call OOC cheating at some stage? If the two kings are
there and declare war, the player gets accused of trying to favour one realm
over the other (ironically, claimed in both realms). If they were at war and
create peace, they get accused of not wanting to endanger the positions of
the two characters by potentially having them wounded/captured/killed/realm
destroyed. If nothing happens, they get accused of not making
peace/declaring war/etc etc etc... same with any position combination.
King/Banker, banker in bad times will be accused of manipulating trade and
funds to hinder the war effort (regardless of the actual situation).
Judge/General, the judge will be accused of releasing nobles so their
relative can fight better, the general will be accused of leading the army
into situations where many will be captured and can be taken care of with
that character's hands remaining clean. Again, regardless of the situation.
The player will get demoralised (we've all seen it happen) and will either
quit or grow to resent and work with their characters to destroy both realms
since they won't shut up about it (an extreme case, but people would do it,
and there are certainly people that wouldn't just let it lie).
The whole 'old people get all the positions' is tripe as well. I've been
turned down for positions in realms precisely *because* a character I play
already holds a similar position, and it would mean not letting someone else
have a turn. If the old people keep getting all the positions, thats either
because the old people do a good job, there are many old people, the
requirements of being an 'old person' are far too easy, or the oldies are
corrupt and should be overthrown (or, indeed, all of the above).
