"You really don't know what your talking about. You've been playing for
what, 8 months? Then you haven't even seen an undead invasion of
Belutera, and you really don't know how BM has _grown_, except for the
last 8 months. Have a look at the number of dead realms, as you can
imagine, each of the non-south islands has actually lost many realms,
the amount of available council positions have 'shrunk' significantly.
Relaxing the restrictions does what exactly? And how does that add
'diversity' to the game?
So create room so that the 'old farts' cannot retain the most powerful
structures all over the place, that will be the greatest most immediate
incentive for diversity.
So really I haven't heard a _valid_ argument to relax the restriction,
just complaints about _lordship_ and cheapening new players. That's
just really lame and completely baseless."
They have shrunk but let a duke seceede then. The Theocracy of Light of
Fountain was quite recently created on EI. 4 more positons.
Personally, I think they should be hard to get. Its not fun if you get
things for free and I have experienced that. My char got a lordship for free
in Lasanar on FEI, and it was berely no joy in it (for me as a player
enjoying the game), because he had not struggled for it enough.
I want equality. Not for people who have 2 chars on the same island to be
punished because of that. I enjoy playing in enemy realms but I don´t want
to have to choose one over the other, which I will have to eventually (with
this code I want to remove) as I can´t have council positions with both,
even if both realms want the chars in council positions.
Lyman stone said it the best. Once the chars have a platform, having held 1
lordship, perhaps a marshal positon, second in command, being part of the
important message groups, the characters work their way from there. Struggle
is needed.
Lame and completely baseless? Your suggestions would make that pretty much
no struggle would be needed. As I think that is what adds the fun to it, the
goal to achieve, wheather its through loyality to the realm, rebellion or
behind the scene sneaky actions.
The valid argument has been told many times to you. I just don´t think you
have honestly read it, or that is atleast the feeling I get when you
respond. Like you haven´t given the thoughts a fair chance and actually
thought about the things written. I might be wrong but please read it and
consider.
