Yes, but that's not what he said.
What he said was, (and I quote):
"A player is not entitled to a lordship, or a council position, or
what have you. They are a reward and, considering the stress involved
in some of them, at times a dubious one."
That's not what I want to hear from a player of a lightweight game.

Quite simply: BattleMaster is as lightweight as you, personally, make it. If
you want to only do 20 minutes every turn, that's fine. You can do that and
have fun. However, if you want to log in every two hours, that's fine as
well. In my opinion, you'll have more "fun", (where "fun" is defined as
"being entertained" and "getting enjoyment") the more you play BattleMaster;
BUT I'm not going to say "You need to log on once every two hours in order
to have any fun!"
Mostly because I know that the previous statement is my opinion, but also
because it's not my place to tell someone else how to create their own fun
on an online game that can be played "successfully", (i.e. not go inactive,
not get banned, and follow most orders) in less then thirty minutes.
Live, and let live... and all the rest of that hippy talk...
