Even assuming something stupid like 1 CS/man (in my experience peasants
usually have just under 5CS/man, but the larget peasant unit I've ever
fought was 700 men), and assuming that this 20 mand unit was SF and
exqusitely trained, has brilliant equipment, etc., thats still minimu
peasant CS over 3.5K vs. maximum troops CS 800 CS.

That is way too unbalanced.

Also remember, your average soldier in BM wasn't much better than an armed
peasant anyway. Sure, he might be taught how to fight, but I don't think
that in BM times anyone except Heroes in legends could be expected to slice
up over 50 men before their arm got too tired to go on.

The Internet is truly a wealth of exotic and meaningful information. Each
new nugget of knowledge it brings to me makes me a little bit stupider.
