Well, that's very interesting, because it clearly says that he's both  
the Prime Minister and the Duke.

Thus, for what you say to be true, you must have bought the Dukeship  
(which would seem to be borne out by checking your family history,  
showing a large fortune and no record of being appointed to the  
post).  Which is a perfectly legitimate in-game function, of course;  
however, you could have said so, rather than just being somewhat rude  
to James.
