[Discuss] Barbarians

BM is pretty boring without wars,
and players then rush out whenever there are monsters.
As I see it,
monsters are pretty dull, illogical, mostly easy to beat,
and do not really fit in this game.
I suggest they be changed to something much more relevant,
interesting, and RPable, like ie barbarians.
("barbarians" in the traditional rogue ppl sense)
They could just pop up like monsters do now,
or perhaps land ashore on the coast of a continent,
triggering a "Scouts report of barbarians
making landfall in -region name- from the sea.
The local people fear the worst!"
Supplemental Ideas:
-More than one troop, but not more than 10.
-Different kind of troops,
like say "Rabble Swordsmen" INF, "Novice Pikemen" MI, "Crude Slingers"
Short ARC,
and occationally more experienced or elite troops.
-Random line settings in battle. (would be fun to attack!)
-They loot, rape and such.
-Barbarians left alone long enough might eventually even TO a region,
which leads to my next idea.
Barbarian Realms:
-Fictional troop leaders running a realm through programming/scripting.
(bots).
(I say TL since I dont know if you would call barbarians for knights)
-Always at war with all other realms.
-Some barbarian realms could let their bots go out on raids whenever they
'want'
while some could be more structured, whatever could be fun.
What ya think?
