Meh I blame the not sleeping thing on the same global enchantment left
over from Spellmaster that keeps people alive forever, heals all
wounds eventually, and has us all speaking the same language. (Think
about it, same world many years later)

Sleep is for peasants and animals....well, and now Adventurers.  Nobles don't need it as they are too busy fighting, drinking or carousing.
