So maybe the better solution (and compromise) would be to restrict players
to one character per realm.  Those loudly voicing their dissent against one
character per island are mostly arguing that they want to successfully have
two characters on opposing sides of wars.  I agree, that's a lot of fun if
you can manage it and find realms who won't try to boot you.

One character per realm seems a bit more reasonable, no?
