Someone I care about has. And yet, I am able to look at it objectively.

That's about as true, I think, as the fact that using the infiltrator
option to assassinate reinforces the belief that it's OK to stab
people in their sleep.

And if people are being jerks about it in-game, you have 2 options:
1) call them out in-game and in-character, making a big deal out of
how evil they are, and if they're in your realm, get them banned
2) if they're really that objectionable, ask them politely, OOC, to
stop. If they won't, report them to the Titans, as it would, at that
point, be harassment.

There's no call to remove options from the game just because bad
things have happened to people. Maybe some people's fathers were
killed in wars; should we remove hero death to spare them pain? Or
better yet, just make it so no one dies, peasants or nobles!

This is a game of medieval war. If you can't handle the attendant
atrocities maturely--which means both not being a jerk about them,
and not getting upset by the mere fact that they're there--then
perhaps you should consider leaving the game and coming back when
you're older and wiser.

...And that would be enough, were I the owner of this list, to get
you banned for at least a week. All Jonathon was saying is that
people these days are way too thin-skinned and unable to deal with
serious issues without the discussion degrading into cries of, "That
offends me! Remove it from the world!"

You just proved him right.
