I agree in principle, but in practice it gets difficult, especially if you 
have two characters on the same continent who are *both* brilliant at their 
job, especially if the position in question is general. If two realms on the 
same continent want the same player to be their general, how are you 
supposed to choose? Especially on FEI, many players choose to have two of 
their characters there. In my own case it prevents me from throwing a 
rebellion with one character at precisely the same time as my other is 
offered general.

Yes, I know there is an easy solution to this, play on a different 
continent. But I actually prefer one continent to another, and i don't like 
the fact that my gameplay is hindered because of it.

I think this will not be a problem if functions such as assassination work 
properly.
