I sent my orders as requests yesterday and signed them as the Marshal of the army, because she is in fact is the Marshal, and has been for a long time.
Why do people keep calling this "micromanagement"? Completely wrong term.
There was never any rule against telling the entire realm what your orders for your army were. It was simply considered to be spam. A little "spam tolerance" would be in order. If you want to avoid the lawyer-types, RP the loss of the Marshal baton and try to convince people that you really /are/ still the Marshal and they should follow your requests, the choice being there's of course.
Again, just a little common sense would go a long way here.
