how do you tell what the default option is? I just elected myself as 
ruler.. and the election/appointment selection thing shows a system 
totally different from before the election.

that the election was bugged in many ways is of course a different 
matter and doubt it's related

I think there should be a page that shows the realm what the current 
status is... instead of having to look up the last message from the 
ruler from donkey years back (which in dwilight's case... would be more 
like days.)
