[Discuss] General+Marshal Changes + Reality Check

I have no objection to the new Marshal system's intent.
The only thing that seems necessary now is for the General position to be
removed and Marshals allowed to contact other realms' marshals, so that the
chain of command is more Council/Ruler --> Marshal of Ducal armies -->
Nobles. This is both more simple for gameplay (fewer cooks in the kitchen /
fewer people required to login) and (as a bonus) historically accurate -
exactly who led any given Medieval army varied so much so that you can't
really say that 'Generals' or 'Marshals' existed, but there'd usually be one
guy for any significant size army who was the boss, and if that guy had a
boss, it was probably the Duke or the King.
The only thing that the General can do now of any value is contact other
Generals. Strike this position entirely and you'll focus more on Duchy-level
stuff (always good) and get rid of an 'Imperial' position that keeps what is
probably a good player out of the regular politics of liege lords, oaths,
and the rest of the realm.
