[Discuss] General+Marshal Changes + Reality Check

I love the new General + Marshal idea a lot and honestly tried this
idea with friends long before the recent code change and restrictions.
How nice would it be for a General to issue orders like:
Marshal A - take your men to Region_1, take up defensive position in
the fortification. Once the enemy main force moves pass Region_Alpha,
move it to cut their retreat, take control of Region_Beta, there is a
fortification there.
Marshal B - take your men to Region_2, scout the regions (X, Y and Z).
Intercept and annihilate any retreating enemies.
Marshal C - take the main army. You mission to destroy the enemy main
force on the field.
Marshal D - take your men to Region_3 and cover/reenfoce Marshal C
when they engage the enemy.
Marshals who fail their mission had would hope for a heroic death than
crawling back defeated! ;p well, I know some marshals get beheaded for
losing battles in the medieval.

Reality check, after these orders are given, Marshals A, B, C and D
will each take their own time bringing the forces there. If Marshal A,
D do not login for say 3 days? What will happen? Marshal B and C need
to move to refit and repair because BM equipment does not last due to
constant acid rain - maybe?
The army returns and now Marshal B and C is busy and Marshal A and D
went into the field and waited for them for 3 days, opps! Time to
refit again!
All in all this new system makes the game less "light weight" because
instead of a group of players who take turns coordinating things, we
now need many active players. Factors like if you do not pay your men
for more than 9 days and they may desert you, equipment damage for
sitting around doing nothing, etc. The make time a factor when
fielding an army on a campaign. Not everyone plays everyday and troop
upkeep is relatively unrealistically high, you cant do much but sit
around. There will be less wars really and the realms will soon return
to a stastis state of peace before long. Power gamers will benefit
most from this system though as they can move a more effective army to
annihilate their opponent.
Remove the limitation that makes fielding an army on the field for a
over month extremely hard than the system may work. Perhaps you can
even employ smiths as paraphernalia to keep your equipment damage to a
minimum of say 20-30%? The limitation that keeps armies close to their
home for repairs and refit demand daily attention from marshals when
moving into enemy realms.
