I've had hmm, 10 dukeships in seven years of play with five different
characters. Some of those are really old when there were under 100 people
playing the game granted, in fact half were. But now I hold only one
dukeship, and that was in jeopardy for a while. Several political deals
were made for that to happen, and he still struggles against them.
It's not really about how old you are in BM it's about how popular you are,
how effectively you've played the realms politics over the years that gets
you into positions. With the addition of claims it's even more complex
now. This game is not easy, not by a long shot. I have the utmost respect
for anyone who manages to stay in power for any length of time. In theory
everyone wants to be the ruler, that you can tame those ambitions says
something about your political character.
