Oh come on, get real. How many times was Hireshmont or Delvin
put back in office after they lost the position due to capture,
wounding, player going on vacation, etc.?
How many times was Scarlet put back in office? Or Leani?
It sems like a week doesn't pass when *someone* on the BT
ruler's channel doesn't get up and say "I'm stepping down so X
can take back their rightful place as ruler of our realm."
Not only that, but there are plenty of realms where even if the
person did not their original concil position back, then they would
end up with one of the other "Big Four" positions after the next
election cycle.

You're obviously either not paying attention, or not seeing the
forest for the trees. It happens all the time. It's just that the
instances are not brought into the limelight by people complaining
on the DList.
I think it would be great if someone removed from a position was
unavailable to be reappointed or re-elected to any position for at
least two weeks. Some special case coding would have to be
added for those smaller realms where there just aren't enough
people to go around. Perhaps when no one was eligible, then the
person who hasn't held office for the longest period of time would
become eligible again.
